The research programme, which was carried out on behalf of MIUR was structured in various stages:
• analysis of the most recent literature on the subject, focusing in particular
on national and international sectorial surveys available at the head office
• preparation of a training programme in the biotechnology sector
• compilation of a specific questionnaire for the biotechnology sector,
indicating the most important groups of technologies for the chosen sectors
by adapting the questionnaire used for the new materials sector forming
part of the RISE project by IRER
• preparation of the website to be used for the study and setting up the
questionnaire on the website, sending the questionnaire and receiving
the answers.
