Analysis of the Competitive Structure of Industry in the area around Lecco |

The project provides a through, comprehensive analysis, divided by sector,
of the structure and performance of industry in the Lecco area, focused in
particular on the size of manufacturing and logistics firms, the organisation
of corporate and intercompany processes, human resource management,
the capacity for technological innovation (both product and process) and
competitive strategies.
Through a survey including profiles of companies in the Lecco area, the study
aimed to define clusters of companies by identifying the specific features in
the individual clusters.
TecnoChora (an agency for technological transfer in the
Province of Lecco) was given the information necessary to define intervention
programmes in the area, starting with the real status of companies belonging
to a cluster.
The company check was based on a questionnaire and the results
were then presented to the owners for discussion. A total of 100 companies
in the main production segments in this area were included. |
