The University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, the partner Universities participating to the Research Project “Bank and
Development in a Peripheral Economy” – supported (as a National Interest Research Project, PRIN) by Italy’s
Ministry of Education and Research – and the Fondazione Rosselli are jointly organizing a workshop on the
nexus between financial development and the economic performance of peripheral economies.
The workshop will provide scholars with the opportunity to discuss their recent contributions in the following areas:
- Finance and development;
- Consolidation of the banking system: a view from the periphery;
- Diversity of banking models and economic development of the peripheries;
- The curse of predatory finance in less developed areas;
- Geography, finance and development. |
