STRAW – Security Technology Active Watch is a coordination and support action (CSA) under the Security Research theme (FP7) that aims at providing a European Service of Technology Watch on Security Technologies.
The mission of STRAW is not only advising potential end-users (public authorities, EU security research community and public at large) about the most underpinning Security technologies, but also bringing together the defence and civil Security research industry for developing new applications.
These purposes imply a neutral coordination to enhance cooperation between all Security actors, in the search for a mutual benefit by matching needs and responses among the Security community.
The STRAW First Workshop represents one of the steps for the construction of a European network in which experts, research stakeholders, technology providers and end users can collect data, interact, cooperate and share their vision on the European Security field.
The Workshop will be held on 23rd June 2009 at CASD, Center for Higher Defence Studies, Rome.
Official programme and registration form are enclosed.
